Like percussion turned conductors Jeffrey Milarsky and Jean-Claude Casadesus, Alan Salvador does not only wield a stick in the back of the ensemble but also wields a baton on the podium with equivalent finesse and passion at the front. Under his baton, the Kapolei High School Concert and Symphonic Bands have received high marks in festival ratings from adjudicators across the country. Alan has had the opportunity to guest conduct the Boise State University’s All Campus Concert Band as well as the Symphonic Winds, advancing his skills as a conductor and educator. Alan studied under Marcellus Brown and Dr. Myron Peterson.
