PERFORMER

Alan Salvador is a percussionist with an appetite for musical exploration and performance. He enjoys every facet of music from the solitude of solo performance, the collaborative aspect of chamber music, to the grandeur and dynamic energy of orchestral and wind band ensembles. His experience ranges from performances with Na Hoku Hanohano artists in Hawai’i to Opera Idaho, providing him with vast knowledge of different musical genres. Alan won 1st place in the Collegiate Mallets and Collegiate Snare Drum categories in the 2023 Idaho Percussive Arts Society Chop Fest.

Along with being a percussionist, Alan does small gigs performing on his guitar and singing. From the soothing sounds of Hawaiian music to upbeat rhythms of pop music, Alan enjoys playing music from any genre. Performing at multiple events in Hawai’i, he seeks to share his passion of music to his audience. Alan has an upcoming performance for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Stole Celebration in the Boise State University Student Union Building’s Lookout Room.
